I paint about women in the wilderness, with a focus on mental health.
Bright colors and smooth lines bring my creations to life in both vivid and subtle detail

This painting is about my puppy Tator Tot. He is the best buddy I could ever have. To a stranger, it looks like I am taking care of him. But actually, he is taking care of me ❤️

This painting was inspired by an all women’s backpacking course in the Pacific Northwest. The outdoor industry is male-dominated, so females are a minority and often feel uncomfortable because of it. All women’s trips give women a sense of emotional and physical safety, let them step outside of gender roles and stereotypes, create a positive learning environment for both beginners and experts, and help them make connections with other like-minded women. On my all women’s course, I met six incredible women and decided to become a professional artist. See second photo for the inspiration behind this painting!

My 20s haven’t been all fun and games. In fact, moving into my first apartment and navigating the real world has been really hard. Sometimes I feel like nobody understands me. Like I’m the only person in the universe who is feeling this way. Like I am all alone. But there are two people in this painting. Because no matter what you’re feeling, there’s someone out there who is feeling it too. You are never alone.

I created this painting for the Adaptive Spirit Silent Auction, where all of the proceeds go toward the US Paralympics Ski and Snowboard Team. These people are super inspiring because they are fearless. I hope my artwork can inspire people to get outside and discover that they are capable of so much more than they could ever imagine.

I made this painting after getting rejected from a job I really wanted. I’m telling you this because we get so busy highlighting our successes on social media that we forget to talk about our failures. If you’re experiencing failure, I am right there with you. And I think you should keep building your fire.

You never know what someone might be carrying. So always, always, always be kind.

This painting is about role models. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve called my big sister in tears, because life didn’t go the way that I planned. No matter how old we become, we will always need mentors to guide us through the darkness. Perhaps the biggest reason I want to be an outdoor educator is so that I can be a role model to others like so many were to me.

This painting was a commission for someone who mountain bikes as a form of therapy! Through this outdoor activity, she has found the most patient, supportive, loving group of women. She says they are always encouraging each other on and off the trail.
